    This vintage squid wet specimen as been lovingly restored by the Rest in Pieces team.

    Squid are often considered the elusive creatures of the sea.

    Due to their often deep oceanic habitat it is rare that they are seen or studied by humans.

    Some things that we have learned is that, much like the octopus, they have three hearts and blue blood. It's pretty interesting! 

    These specimens have been acquired from teaching facilities around Australia. They have been cleared of all toxic chemicals and the specimens reworked into a new and safe solution. 

    The specimen comes housed in a vial that is 9cm high and 4cm wide.
